The former personal attorney for Donald Trump has left her position as the chief federal prosecutor in the state. This comes after a court battle that challenged her legal standing to occupy the role.

Attorney General's Statement

The nation's top law enforcement official, Pam Bondi, confirmed Habba's resignation on Monday. She commented that the appeals court finding made it unworkable for her to perform her duties.

"Let no one confuse compliance for surrender," Habba stated. "This battle will now reach across the country."

Judicial Challenge

Habba's exit was triggered by a judicial panel ruled that she had been unlawfully serving as the top prosecutor. This ruling is likely to affect many prosecutions in New Jersey.
